How can I tell if a restaurant is kid friendly?

From death stares to finding absolutely nothing on the menu that your kids will eat, dining out can really feel like a drag. Wouldn't it be amazing if there was an easy way to tell if a restaurant is kid friendly before hauling yourself, your kids and all of their gear in the door? Luckily, there is! Here are three foolproof questions that you should ask yourself before entering any dining establishment.

1) Does the restaurant have outdoor space? (applies to warmer climates and summer/spring/fall only).

Restaurants that have a patio or some outdoor space to roam should automatically make it to the top of your dining to do list.

2) Is the restaurant very quiet?

If so, it isn’t the place for you. In a restaurant that is very quiet your kids are more likely to be the center of attention, not in a good way.

3) Does the chef have a no modification policy?

When the chef passes on all modifications you should pass on bringing your kids to the restaurant. Although this “hot spot” might be a fun place to go with your partner for date night, it’s really not the right place to bring your kids, as the owner and staff are not willing to make any accommodations, for anybody, at all.
